Mission

We’re brothers from Jersey City. Between us, we’ve played pickup soccer with hundreds of people from New York City to Germany to the Sierra Nevada mountains. The game pulls together people who’d otherwise never cross paths, and that part already works.

What doesn’t work is finding out where and when a game is happening. Most players guess before they leave the house. Coordination lives inside group chats that fall off and Instagram pages nobody checks. People show up late or fade entirely, and nobody finds out until they’re standing alone on a field with cleats and no ball. Or, by the time you get to the field, games are already in full swing, and you’re too late to hop on a team, leaving you stuck on the sideline looking for a team.

The organized alternative isn’t much better. Adult leagues charge by the season and lock you into a schedule. Club programs answer to their own set of rules, and plenty of them cut players off by age. None of that fits a free Tuesday night and a ball sitting in the trunk.

People all over the county we’ve met love soccer and are often itching to find a chance to play with others, whether it’s competitive club players in their offseason, or people who are new to the area looking for a community and activities to connect with others. The demand is there and when everything works it’s great. But it’s inconsistent, and hard to find if you’re not in the know, so we want to facilitate it by providing the tooling.

The Tri-State area is dense and full of players, including plenty who grew up somewhere else and never found their way onto a local field. Open, community-first soccer should belong to them too, not just the people already inside a group chat. So we built a place to find games without the guesswork. Find a field, and then show up and know the game is on.
